| Necromancer subclass utilizes a small team consisting of the necromancer and two summons, Nicolas the Vampire, and Ballacre the Butcher. Each of these three has their own special attacks and skills, and controlling all three well is the key to a successful necromancer. This guide will be split into necromancers attacks and skills, Nicolas' attacks and skills, and Ballacre's attacks and skills. First is the Necromancer. Your necromancer will be using a small arsenal of ranged, dark damage attacks. Dark Soul Instant Cast Dark type The necromancer throws out a small dark orb that tracks enemies and latches on, dealing two hits of dark damage before exploding, doing aoe dark damage to anything within close proximity to the orb. Once Ballacre is learned, dark soul can be charged into a bigger, more damaging dark soul. Dark Nail Instant Cast Dark type The necromancer lashes her hand out and scratches enemies with dark magic, damaging enemies and lowering their dark resistance. Curse Spear Instant Cast Dark type 7 bone daggers appear behind the necromancer, pressing the skill key again will fire a dagger. Each one has a chance to curse the enemy, and has some tracking ability. The necromancer remains in super armor while using this skill Bone Shield Instant Cast Bones surround the necromancer, increasing defense and spirit. Also has a chance to strike enemies when hit, causing hitstun and allowing for counter attacks Blame of the Dead Dark Type Instant cast The necromancer touches the floor and a portal travels along the ground, with ghosts reaching up grabbing at enemies. Any enemy hit by this is snared by the ghost hands, and receives damage over time as well as reduced movement speed Soul Lure Dark Type Instant cast When the skill is activated a small orb is tossed to the ground in front of the necromancer. If the skill key is pressed again, the orb is hit, or enough time passes, it explodes into a frenzy of ghosts that swarm the enemy, dealing heavy damage Dark Ritual The necromancer's version of ancient memory, using hp instead of mp to boost intelligence greatly, while lowering physical attack

| Next up is Nicolas, your spider slinging vampire butler Apport Nicolas Instant Cast Summons Nicolas to the field. Nic lasts 300 seconds, and uses two attacks without being given orders. Nicolas remains in super armor for his duration. Spiderball Nic summons a giant balled up spider to his hand and rolls it along the ground, damaging any enemies it touches and pushing them back Aracluso Drop Nic reads a quick spell from his book and drops a giant spider on enemies. A mark will appear where it will drop, and when it hits the ground it sends out a shockwave of dark energy. This attack will deal heavy damage to whatever is hit, so try to knock enemies into the mark that appears The attacks that follows are skill attacks, and must be activated for Nic to use them Orders to Nicolas Instant cast This skill is used to control Nic's ai, as well as give him various boosts depending on the level of the skill. -Feathers: This is Nic's standard orders, and will be the default setting when he is summoned. Nic will wander around attacking enemies he comes across -Fist: Sets Nic's ai to attack. Nic will seek out enemies on his own and attack them -Cross: Sets Nic's ai to support, Nic will attack any enemies that you are attacking -Shield: Set's Nic's ai to defense. Nic will stay close to the necromancer and attack anything that comes near or attacks the necromancer Apport Zombie Instant Cast Dark type Nicolas tosses out a small orb, and a black zombie is summoned. This zombie will rush at an enemy and attempt to grab and bite them. After this it will explode, damaging and cursing anything hit. If a cursed enemy is killed by the explosion, there is a chance it will summon another zombie Black Web Instant Cast Dark Type Nicolas surrounds himself with a black spider web, dealing tic damage to enemies, as well as boosting the dark damage of the necromancer. Any allies standing in the web have their attacks converted to dark type. Nicolas' Black Wave Instant Cast Dark type 1 clear cube Nicolas shows off his vampire powers, releasing spikes from all over his body. These spike grab enemies and drain their health, feeding nicolas and recovering his hp. After this the spikes explode, dealing heavy dark damage to any enemies grabbed. More points into this skill allows more enemies to be grabbed

| Last, but not least, is Ballacre the Butcher. Ballacre functions like the berserkers frenzy buff, replacing the necromancers standard attacks with his own Apport Ballacre Instant Cast Dark type 2 clear cubes Summons Ballacre to the field. Pressing the attack key will cause Ballacre to swing his sword, and different combinations of keys do different things. All of ballacre's attacks deal dark damage. Ballacre lasts 200 seconds. All of Ballacre's attacks cost mp to use x,x,x,x: ballacre stabs forward, swings his sword back and forth, then swings it down knocking down enemies x,<-x,<-x,x: ballacre stabs forward, then backhands enemies back, then reaches his hand forward and releases waves of dark energy, hitting enemies multiple times, then swings his sword down and knocks down enemies z: ballacre charges forward, swinging back and forth three times. This does moderate damage to enemies and knocks them back with each swing. Useful for gathering mobs ->->x: ballacre uppercuts in front of him and grabs a single target, holds it for a moment, then crushes it causing a small dark magic explosion that knocks down enemies Ambition of Ballacre Instant Cast Dark type 1 clear cube Ballacre summons a giant ghost hand in front of him, knocking enemies up into the air and towards the center of the palm. After a moment, or if the skill key is pressed again, the hand closes, dealing heavy dark damage to any enemies caught Guillotine Instant cast Dark type 2 clear cubes Ballacre slams his giant hand down on enemies and rakes it back, causing enemies to be hitstunned momentarily and leaving dark claw marks on the ground. He then charges his sword with dark energy and slams it down, dealing massive damage to anything caught in the blast. This skill does heavy, heavy damage Awakening: Phantomstorm Instant Cast Dark type 5 clear cubes Ballacre must be summoned Ballacre stands in front of the necromancer and surrounds himself in dark energy, pulling enemies towards him while dealing damage as an audience of ghosts watches. He then bursts into a rising storm of ghosts dealing heavy tick damage to enemies and lifting them up into the air. After a few seconds the storm of ghosts explodes, dealing heavy damage to anything caught in the blast

| Extreme Blame of the Dead: Concentration of the Dead Instant Cast Dark Type 1 clear cube The ex version of blame of the dead. Instead of the portal moving along the ground, it remains in place, and enemies grabbed are held in place and dealt heavy tic damage over time. The portal will remain in place for ten seconds Extreme Black Wave Instant Cast Dark Type 1 clear cube Ex version of black wave, spikes extend even further than black wave, grabbing any enemies within reach and blasting them with dark energy. A good grab technique that deals heavy damage

| Pros:
Necromancers are a fun and easy class to play. Few skills to worry about, easy to set up a build. Excellent awakening active. An easy soloing class. Wears Light Armor; better defense than a Rogue. Nicholas has SA always. Great crits.
Cons:
HORRIBLE MP consumption. Despite light armor, dies very easily. Pay attention! If Nicholas dies, all the monsters will swarm you. Passive sucks. Fewer skills means fewer variations within your build. Damage ouput sucks after level 65. Like some classes, very armor dependent.
Necromancer Job Change:
Talk to Minet Talk to Sharon Run Shadowland Run Shadowland Again Talk to Minet
Avatar Ideas:
Since in DnF you can get 2-slotted avatars here are some emblems/avatar stats to consider:
Hat/Hair: MP Regen(Stat)/Intelligence(Emblem) Face/Torso: Doesn't matter really, you don't need attack speed so go for whatever. Emblem would most likely be MP related. Top: Any Necromancer skill. Bottom: Physical Defense definitely. MP Max is good, too. Waist: Evasion Shoes: Movement Speed

after getting to 65, few updates and comments to make 1.necromancers are fun, but do take some practice and skill. if you dont know what you're doing it's not gonna go well 2.Necromancers have a LOT of skills, and a lot of variations in builds. Easy to fuck up if you dont know what you're doing 3.Awakening active is good, but from experience, sp is better spent elsewhere 4-8.agreed 9.about as easy to die as any other class wearing cloth-light armor. having nic and some of the best mob control in the game takes care of that little problem though 10.Nic's cooldown is extremely short, and is instant cast. If he dies, it takes about a half a second to resummon him... 11.nobody has really been able to figure out what the passive even does 12.again, necromancers have more skills than most classes. not sure how you got the idea that they dont have many and are lacking build variations... 13.if you consider doing 6k+ with x attacks and around 60-100k with cube skills sucky, i dont really know what to tell you 14.unfortunately dnf has this issue with armor and weapons being dirt cheap, so i usually have a full armor set and the best purple weapon i can get for my level, so cant say much here | |
