For the curious, LoL is a real time strategy game where you play as a summoner, fighting set battles with champions in designated arenas to determine the future of Runeterra. That is about as much story as you will get, since there is no such things as quests in this game. You start a game by picking a champion to represent you in the field of battle, pick out two spells for your own use, then you get transported to the field of battle. Your champion always starts out at lv. 1 and with 475 gold to buy items. You can level up lv. 18 in every game, and can hold up 6 items in each game. Each champion has 1 passive and 4 skills, one of them being your ultimate (a "limit break" if you will). Victory is obtained by destroying the enemy turrets and making your way to and destroying the enemy nexus. There are many champions to try, so chances are you will find a champ that fits your playstyle.

you get points for playing/winning matches, then you can spend points to unlock other characters or upgrades
