I've encountered a conundrum. I was posting on a MUGEN forum asking about certain functions, and while we can do a story mode, we can't have multiple story modes.

My next option at this point would be to just keep a bunch of seperate files and you'll just have to load whoever's story you want to do.

Well like I said, I could whip up a quick console program that switches the files out so the player wouldn't have to go through all the ugly mess.

Also, I added the moveset for the final boss, speaking of which, if anyone can be creative and make moves that aren't OP just let me know and I'll edit it in!

A few things I was thinking about over the few months I ragequit trying to get mugen to work. I learned a few more things about the options of mugen itself (adding characters, motifs, etc)

I'm probably going to get more motivation to finish this during the summer

By then, I'll probably have completed most of what I want to right now.

Anyways:
I don't know if we can have rival themes, so it's best to assume no right now, we also can have character themes overwrite stage themes, however I'm going to add the stage themes first.

If there's anyone who really doesn't care for the project who is in the current roster, just tell me and I'll either postpone working on your character (assuming I get around to this) or just remove them altogether if you want. It would really help cutting down the work because 33 characters is a pretty damn big amount considering the size of the project itself.

EDIT: ANNOUNCEMENT
I'm *definitely* going to remove some characters, as for now I'll make a blacklist of sorts, if it just happens that the people I want to ax barely visit the chatbox anymore, chances are increased that I'm going to remove them, as well as people that aren't chatbox visitors anymore along with not being apart of the ingame guild either. I don't want people taking this personally, and I don't expect them to. I need to remove characters to reduce work load.

I do want to complete this, but for now I'm just going to outline what I'm gonna shoot for in the demo

2 stages: Oceanic Express, Hendon Myre
7 Characters:
Slayer: Zerobeat
F Fighter: Sakagami (will need that edited hair npk when the times comes)
M Fighter: Tri
M Gunner: Gunter
F Gunner: Ardy
Mage: Maribo
Thief: Ely
Priest: Yden

One person of each class so other people who want to help make characters can see the examples. Although varying up the normal attacks will make things more interesting.

I've got too much shit to do to get around to this, but I'm not going to abandon it.

Regarding character themes, as much time we spent pinking them out I don't think I'll be able to include them as I'm working on this (bigger hassle than it's worth, though I'll put in a final boss theme for the sake of the final boss.)

A few other reasons:

-Does Kirov even listen to music outside of things he watches? o-o
-Expecting rare visitors to drop in then care about this? Yeah I don't know about that so I'll just forgo their themes for now.

I don't really like the idea of having some normal characters with themes and others without, so just sticking to dnf material for now (stage themes)

Also, decided that Random's M Mech is a better candidate than his sader, don't need two support saders and someone might as well replace the m mech because let's face it, Zext don't come here no more.
